Description
Perennial Coral Red Hen and Chicks – SEMPERVIVUM ‘Coral Red’ PPAF. 4″ tall, 6″ spread, full sun. Unique red foliage contrasts dramatically with the typical greens and pinks of other Hen & Chicks. Has a very strong root system and branches well. Surround it with white stones for a modern twist. Drought & heat tolerant. Deer & rabbit resistant. Zones 4-9. Potted in 3″ pot.
Sempervivum is the perfect plant for hot, dry, sunny locations with very well-drained soil. Though they can adapt to a variety of soil types, they perform best in gritty soil. If a groundcover effect is desired, space plants close together because they grow slowly.
