Description
This plant is very low-maintenance. It will grow in full sun or partial shade and prefers average to rich, well-drained soil. Plants spread slowly to form thick clumps. Divide after flowering if desired.
Perennial Moody Blues Blue Eyed Grass - SISYRINCHIUM i. var macounii 'Moody Blues'. 4-5" tall, equal spread, full sun to part shade, late spring-midsummer bloom. Striped violet-blue petals with dark throat, forming an inky blue ring around bright gold centers. Spiky green foliage adds textural interest when blooms had faded. Blooms are larger than more familiar Sisyrinchium angustifolium. Zones 4-9. Potted in 3" pot.
