Perennial Jupiter’s Beard – CENTRANTHUS ruber cocciineus red. 1.5′-3′ tall, 1.5′-2′ spread, full sun-part shade, early summer bloom. A showy bloom of star-shaped pink to red flowers on a well-branched bush. Flowers appear in dense terminal clusters atop upright-semi upright stems rising above the foliage. Flowers are fragrant. If not deadheaded, flowers give way to dandelion-like seed heads which are typically disbursed around the landscape by wind. Zones 5-8. Potted in 3″ pot.
