ASTILBE 'Mixed'. 10-36" tall, shade, early-midsummer bloom. Our choice of color and variety. All labeled. Flowers are held in large, diamond shaped panicles. Vigorous and floriferous. Zones 4-9. Potted in 3" pot. Astilbes are long-lasting perennials that flourish in rich soil with light shade to filtered sun, though they bloom less in full shade. Their key requirement is consistently moist soil, as dryness—especially in sunny spots—can quickly damage the plant, causing leaf browning and drop. Regular watering is essential as foliage and flower plumes develop. Fertilize in late spring before flowering, leave old foliage through winter for protection, and cut it back in early spring. If the crown lifts above the soil, gently press it down and add organic matter. To maintain vigor, divide plants every 3–4 years in early spring. **Note-item pictured may not be the same as the item you receive, our choice of color and variety**
