Dwarf. DESCHAMPSIA c. ‘Goldtau’. 12-24″ tall with equal spread, full sun-part shade, early summer bloom. Dark green foliage is narrow and is usually evergreen. Airy panicles are chartreuse yellow and turn bronze as they mature. Low maintenance. Performs best in cooler climates with moist soil. Native. Deer resistant. Cool season. Zones 4-9.Potted in 3″ pot.
Cool Season. Clump growing, semi evergreen, fine textured leaves, and thin stems topped with sprays of airy delicate flowers. Seed heads emerge from dark green stems in an explosion of chartreuse-yellow, eventually changing to bronze. They remain handsome in winter landscapes and deliver a knock-out punch to cut-flower arrangements. performs best and flowers most in cooler climates. In warmer climates, Golden Dew Tufted Hair Grass needs semi-shade and moist conditions, and flower production may be greatly reduced. Native.
