Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerant of poor soils, drought, summer heat and humidity. Intolerant of wet soils in winter. Sometimes treated as a biennial.

Perennial BOGO Free Gayfeather - LIATRIS pycnostachya. 18-30" tall, full sun, early summer bloom. Purple to lilac flower wands open from top to bottom. Attracts butterflies and is bee friendly. Native. Zones 3-9. Potted in 3" pot.

We do not split orders by default. Place a separate order to receive “ready now” items sooner.

We ship to colder zones first, then proceed to warmer zones.
Do I need lead time before planting?
Most perennials need 4–6 weeks in-ground before the first freeze.
