Description
Plumes are tan and emerge late summer. Pennisetum prefers to be grown in rich loamy soil with good drainage and full sun or light shade. However, it will grow in rocky or sandy soil as long as it remains fairly moist. This grass resents having “wet feet”.

Grass Burgundy Bunny Fountain - PENNISETUM a. 'Burgundy Bunny'. 12-16" tall, 16" spread, full sun. Of all the grasses we offer, this is the only miniature variety to show some red color in summer followed by all-over blazing red color in the fall until frost. Everything about this grass is petite, including its short stature, narrow green leaves, and small tufted cream flower plumes in late summer. Use it in containers or the front of the border. Deer resistant. Zones 5-9. Potted in 3" pot.
