Description
VERBENA b. ‘Lollipop’. 12-18″ tall with equal spread, full sun, late spring-late summer bloom. Clusters of small, lavender-violet flowers are held by slender stems with dark green toothed leaves. This free-flowering plant is a great filler plant for the landscape or whimsical addition to a bouquet. Drought tolerant. Attracts butterflies, hummingbirds & is bee friendly. Deer resistant. Zones 6-10. Potted in 3″ pot.
Verbena bonariensis is a rapid-growing, clump-forming tender perennial. Use in the garden as an airy filler between plants for an added pop of color. Self-seeds
Must cut back spent blooms to encourage new buds. Remove the top 1/4 of plant periodically to force need blooms.
Best grown in evenly moist, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerates poor soils as long as drainage is good.
