Perennial Black Adder Hyssop – AGASTACHE ‘Black Adder’. 3-4’ tall, 2-3’ spread, full sun, midsummer-fall bloom. This easy to grow, upright native has gray-green, licorice scented leaves that are covered with very showy, smokey lilac flowers opening from dark-purple buds. Well-drained soils are a must, especially in the winter. Attracts butterflies, hummingbirds & is bee friendly. Deer & rabbit resistant. Zones 6-9. Potted in 3” pot.

Growing Tips

Agastache should be planted in full sun, well drained, and slightly alkaline soil. This plant will NOT tolerate wet soil, especially in winter. When planting, put a thick layer of gravel in the bottom of the hole and then mix more in with the filler soil. Will not tolerate heavy clay soil.
